Discover the picturesque scenery of the Eifel. This is the town of Höfen, which is close to the Monschau toboggan run.

In spite of our quiet location there are many possibilities for day trips.
There is for instance one of the most spectacular
European themeparks, Phantasialand. It makes for an unforgettable day.

Do you remember the smell and taste of fresh bread, baked in a wood-fired oven? Or do you remember how they worked in a smithy? All this you can see in the open-air museum Kommern. The 80 hectare open-air museum now offers 65 historic farms, wind and water mills. The monuments are set in a landscape of fields, farms and orchards.

Also a must-see is
Castle Satzvey. It is known for its medieval festivals or the wonderful historical Christmas Market.

Breathtaking spectacles of nature, funny shows and a super-fast ride on the roller coaster await you in the Eifelpark. Don't miss out on the Eifelpark!

Popular among young and old is also the toboggan run in Monschau (open during the summer).
It is 750m long - one of the longest in Germany!

Dive into a completely new, completely different world of bathing and sauna and forget your everyday routine for a few hours. Besides pools and sauna the
Eifel-Therme-Zikkurat`s 12,000 m² large area offers also a beach volleyball court and a beach football (soccer) field, as well as an external sauna area that is 900 m² large.

Nothing needs to be said about the Nürburgring. Every year this racing track draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to us in the Eifel. But the Nürburgring has more to offer: it is known as the "Green Hell" for a reason. In addition to the wonderful forests that invite you to go hiking you should also visit the carting track, museum and other numerous attractions surrounding racing sport.

Also, and perhaps especially, during the winter it is very beautiful here. Put on some warm clothes, enjoy the clear skies and afterwards have drink in a cozy pub...

...or you can go for a drive on a motor ski on a closed-off terrain in the winter sports resort "Weisser Stein" not far from here. It is great fun!
